HOUSEWORK CAUSES WARTS!!!
I'd better not take any chances...
It is finally Spring and I know for a lot of people that means it's time to begin that Spring cleaning you dread doing every year. But since it's no housework day, you have a great excuse to put off that chore until tomorrow. I don't typically need an excuse, per se, to goof off when it comes to cleaning. There was a time I did my laundry on Sunday because it's the only day I had time to do it, but now that I'm retired, I can do my laundry another day.
Today would be a great day to do as little as possible - just relax and do some spiritual cleanup. We get so busy with physical tasks because that's just how we're made - it's how we're wired. But our Lord does want us to just be still and know that He is God. He is in control. He knows the future.
Sit at Jesus' feet humbly today. The chores of everyday life will still be waiting for you when you get out of bed tomorrow. The earth will not fall off its axis if you miss one day of housework.
Part of overall wellness is mental and spiritual. If our mind and spirit are functioning as they should, the body usually follows. The physical is what we see, so it is what we focus on the most. The mind and spirit are important too. Pay attention to them and nurture them. Allow the Lord to minister to you today.
Do you have a favorite book? Today would be a good day to pick that up instead of a dust cloth. Sunday is to be a day of rest. Enjoy your day of R&R and hit it hard tomorrow when you are well rested.
I think no housework day has given us an excellent excuse to Relax and enjoy this Sunday!
